Announcements
Election Results: 2008 - 2009 Board of Directors
We took time out from the socializing and munching to thank the 2007-8 ARC
Board for a job VERY well done and to hold the election for a new board to
manage the club's business for 2008-9. We're very fortunate to have a
committed and proactive membership willing to step up and help build upon
the successes of this past year. After the voting and nominal, good-natured
"campaigning", the membership chose the following new leadership team:
President: Angelica Kelley
Vice President: Leilani Perry
Secretary: Melissa Keller
Treasurer: Ed Childress
Director of Information Services: Jim Greene
Director of Member Services: Erica Manger
Director of Volunteer Services: Megan Baker
We also have some new non-board leadership positions that fill important
roles for the club, and some impressive folks stepped up to fill those
roles. These include:
Sponsorship Chairperson: Edna Parrae
Marketing & Merchandising Chairperson: Teresa Williams
Happy Hour Coordinator: Kyle Howard
Webmaster: Trey Gramann
Sprint Series Coordinator: Muna & David Mitchell
Outreach Coordinator: David Williams

Medals 4 Mettle (M4M)
A New Purpose for Old Race Medals. Do you find yourself staring at that pile of old race medals on a shelf or in a drawer and wondering what to do with them?
If just throwing them away seems like a terrible waste, consider contributing them to Medals 4 Mettle (www.medals4mettle.org). This non-profit organization awards the medals it receives to people of all ages who "e;run"e; their own intense races battling disease and handicaps. What a great way to celebrate the good fortune we enjoy to be able to run races and earn medals. Many thanks to ARC member, Ann Treffer, for providing the information for this announcement.
